Overcoming Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi excellently won the 8th Golden Ball of his career by France Football magazine (France) on the evening of October 30. That is considered a tribute to El Pulga after this player helped Argentina win the 2022 World Cup.
It is worth mentioning that the Argentine superstar became the first player in the American Major League (MLS) to win the Golden Ball. For that reason, this striker received extremely special treatment from Inter Miami Club.

Along with that, he captioned: “Another passenger has boarded the flight with us, the Golden Ball, to return to Inter Miami together.”
Businessman Jorge Mas went to Paris to attend the Golden Ball awards ceremony with the club’s other co-owner, David Beckham. It was Beckham who gave the Golden Ball to Messi on stage.
Sharing during the ceremony, Beckham said: “It’s special and proud to say that Messi is an Inter Miami player and lives in the beautiful city of Miami. He will celebrate this title with his teammates and family in its own way.
We’ll also celebrate this title the Miami way. I’m sure everyone will have a fun party.”
It is known that Inter Miami Club has scheduled to honor Messi’s 8th Golden Ball title. The ceremony is expected to be held in February 2024, when Inter Miami plays a friendly match with Newell’s Old Boys (Argentina). This is the team that Messi has played for since he was a child.
